Let’s be honest, adding exercise to your lifestyle will only get you so far. Without changing your nutritional habits, you will likely not attain the goals you have in mind.
I’ve teamed up with Precision Nutrition and earned the Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certificate in Exercise Nutrition. They have an online nutrition coaching platform, ProCoach, that helps me provide habit based nutrition coaching for you. This way we don’t have to spend our time between sets of Goblet Squats talking about good sources of protein or what supplements to take (or not take). My time with you spent coaching movement and exercise can be kept to exactly that.
How it works:
You’ll receive a welcome email once I add you to the system. From there, you will have a questionnaire to fill out. Make sure you get the questionnaire done as soon as you can, the program always starts on a Monday. Don’t wait until Monday to fill it out, as you will not be able to start until the following Monday.
After that, you will receive a daily email with links to your daily lesson and habit tracker. The daily lessons take no more than 5-10 minutes, you can even choose to listen to them instead of reading them. At the end of the day, simply record “yes” or “no” if you did your habit or not.
Once per month you will receive a workshop to complete, and a prompt to update your measurements and or photos to track your progress. The workshop might take 20 minutes, because you will have a few short videos to watch.
The entire program runs 12 months. This is no quick fix. It is meant for those that are in it for the long haul and want results that last. This will require a little bit of work on your part. Nothing worthwhile comes easy.
Since you already pay me to train with me, I want to provide this service at a discount for my clients. Q: What happens if I get behind on my lessons and habits?
A: No big deal! Life happens and there will never be a convenient time to take control of your nutrition. If you keep waiting for the perfect time, it’ll never come. If you get behind, just pick up where the program is. If you want, there is a “course archive” and you can go back and do the lessons you missed if you would like.
Q: If I go on vacation, can I pause the program?
A: No, there are no pauses in life. It goes on. Think of situations like this as a challenge. Think about how you can apply some of the habits while you enjoy yourself on vacation.
Q: Does this program do meal plans?
A: No, I’ve tried using meal planning programs that were designed by dietitians, and even printed out shopping lists for my clients in the past. They simply do not work long term. Meal plans are like handing someone a physics textbook and saying, “here you go!” Good luck with that. The ProCoach program is designed to help you step by step into developing sound nutritional habits that work, wherever you go. Meal plans are only meant for very high level clients, for example if you were training for a UFC fight.
Q: Will this program help treat any disease or disorder?
A: This program is not medical nutritional therapy. If you have a condition that requires specific medical attention, you need to reach out to a medical professional that can do so. This program can certainly work hand in hand with medical advice given to you. This program does not prescribe meal plans, it is a program that coaches habit change and helps educate you which is often the missing link to having lasting success. It does not specifically treat anything such as diabetes or hypertension.
